You might expect Hollywood actors to love watching movies, but Millie Bobby Brown has actually revealed the opposite - and fans are baffled.
The 20-year-old Brit stars in Netflix's new movie, Damsel, but you might be surprised to learn she doesn't really watch films herself.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I don’t watch movies. People come up to me and say, ‘You should definitely watch this movie, it would change your life’.

“And I’m like, ‘How long do I have to sit there for?’ Because my brain and I don’t even like sitting for my own movies.”
Millie explained it's a totally different scenario for her fiancé Jake Bongiovi, 21, who is the 'biggest movie buff'.
“My fiancé is the biggest movie buff," Millie added.
“He just sits and watches movies all day. And I cannot do that.

“That is the one thing I can’t sit down and do.
“But I really love Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, I love Mad Max. So I feel like I’m always channelling that inner bad-ass.”
Millie explained it's partly because she struggles to sit and stare at a screen for so long.

“I just have to be doing something," she continued.
“So I either eat too much, because I’m just bored. Or I have to be doing something — baking, grooming a dog or on my computer.
“If I’m not doing some-thing I just can’t sit there and look at the screen for that long.
“It’s not to say the movie isn’t epic and cinematic and brilliant, or that there aren’t amazing performances. I love some of these actors.”

Fans were baffled over Millie's comments, with one person writing on X: "Never heard of an actress that doesn’t really watch movies."
While another said: "I understand not wanting to watch your own movies but not watching movies in general as an actress is crazy…how do you support your peers or refine your craft if you aren’t keeping up?"
And a third added: "This is the equivalent of being a music producer and never listening to music in your life."

Millie's recent film, Damsel, has been dominating the top spot on Netflix since it was released on March 8.
In fact, Damsel quickly became the most watched film of the year on the streaming platform and had been viewed a whopping 35,300,000 times by March 14.
The film sees Millie take on the role of Elodie, a princess whose fairy tale gets turned upside down when the man she believed to be her Prince Charming instead sacrifices her to a dragon.
In an interview with Netflix's Tudum, she explained: “She’s a damsel who doesn’t need to be saved. She saves herself in many ways. It subverts what you expect: You’re expecting the prince to turn around and save her, and… no. Don’t wait for the prince.”
You can watch it on Netflix now.
