Pasqual is reported as having previously been in a relationship with Shehorn and as per the LA Times, Shehorn had filed a restraining order against the actor for alleged domestic abuse just days prior to the attack.
The restraining order was reportedly approved by a Los Angeles Country Superior judge, however, it's uncertain whether it was served to Pasqual before the incident took place.
When Shehorn failed to show up at work on May 23, alarm bells were raised and shortly after she was discovered by her housemate who alleges she was stabbed 'more than 20 times'.
The make-up artist was rushed to hospital and the court later issued a $1.075 million arrest warrant for Pasqual, Variety reports.
