The former girlfriend of a How I Met Your Mother actor has spoken out after he was accused of stabbing her 20 times.
Nick Pasqual, who has also appeared in titles such as Rebel Moon and Jobs, was extradited from Texas to Los Angeles in June after the alleged stabbing took place one month earlier.
The actor was accused of breaking into the home of Allie Shehorn at approximately 4:30am local time on May 23, after which he allegedly stabbed her multiple times, leaving her in critical condition.

Pasqual is then said to have fled the state, but he was caught by US Border Patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
The 34-year-old was charged with one count each of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child's parent.
He has since pleaded not guilty to the charges.

After being released from hospital, Shehorn, who had previously filed a restraining order against Pasqual, attended a court hearing for the case which took place yesterday (August 12) in San Bernadino, California.
She later told the Daily Mail she planned to attend all of Pasqual's court hearings so he knew she was 'still here'.
"I just hope that there's justice served," she continued. "People should know that this shouldn't happen and he can't get away with it.
"I'll be at every court hearing, even if I don't have to be, just to show him that I'm still here."

Shehorn, who has worked as a makeup artist on movies including Mean Girls, Babylon and Rebel Moon, went on to claim she is still suffering the effects of the alleged attack, including 'vivid scarring' and a loss of feeling in her hands.
She also sustained a partial loss of vision.
"Every day is different and it's a struggle, and just dealing with the permanent damage is really hard. I can't go back completely to how I was," she said.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help fund Shehorn's recovery in the wake of the events, and describes her as 'a remarkable person, full of warmth, kindness, and love'.
"The road to recovery will be long and arduous, but with your support, we can help ease her burden and provide the financial assistance she desperately needs," the page continues.
If convicted of all charges, Pasqual could face a maximum possible sentence of life in state prison.
