Sandra Bullock is said to have been left 'heartbroken' by claims that The Blind Side might have been based on a lie.
Bullock took on the role of Leigh Anne Tuohy for the 2009 movie, starring as the matriarch of the family who took in Michael Oher when he was experiencing homelessness as a teenager.
The film was a much-loved one, earning an Oscar nomination for Best Picture as well as bagging Bullock the Oscar for Best Actress.

However, the wholesome nature of the flick was shattered this week after Oher, now 37, filed a lawsuit against the couple - who have an estimated net worth of $75 million - claiming they lied about adopting him and allegedly made him sign a document to prevent him from making money off the film.
The suit claims that in February, Oher found out 'the conservatorship to which he consented on the basis that doing so would make him a member of the Tuohy family, in fact, provided him no familial relationship'.
"At no point did the Tuohys inform Michael that they would have ultimate control of all his contracts, and as a result
Michael did not understand that if the conservatorship was granted, he was signing away his right to contract for himself," the lawsuit claims.

Now, a source close to Bullock has told the Daily Mail that the 59-year-old actor 'hates' that the hard work she put into something she thought was a true story has now been 'tainted'.
An insider told the Daily Mail: "Now people won't watch it and if they do, they will have a completely different reaction to its original intention."
The anonymous source continued: "There was so much hard work put into the film that they all thought was the truth and now that has been questioned, it just upsets Sandra to no end that a time in her life that was so special, is now shadowed with a completely different perspective."

It comes after some critics and even fans of the film have suggested that the actor should have her Oscar taken off her as a result of the recent lawsuit.
"So Sandra Bullock should have to give back her Oscar right, and man do we need to start checking these good feeling stories," one person wrote on social media.
There have been many people that have come out and defended Bullock in recent days, including Quinton Aaron, the actor who played Oher in The Blind Side.
