Nicolas Cage is set to star in sequels to two of his most iconic roles.
The larger than life actor has enjoyed something of a renaissance in recent times, with his performance in Pig receiving rave reviews from critics.
It sees Cage play Robin, a grizzled, truffle-hunting widower living out in the Oregon woods with his titular companion.
When a gang of violent intruders break into his home, beat him to within an inch of his life and steal his pig, he sets about tracking down his pal, going to any lengths he can.

After years of turkeys, the film represents a new lease of life for Cage and his career.
And it also means we may finally get to see him return to a couple of his most successful roles, with sequels to two absolute classics on the cards.
For those of you who haven't had the please of watching either of these movies, you need to sort that out ASAP.

Face/Off came out in 1997 and saw Cage play ruthless terrorist Castor Troy, who is hellbent on destroying FBI agent Sean Archer's (John Travolta) life.
Basically, it's two hours of Cage and Travolta swapping faces and trying to kill each other - which is about as good as it gets tbh.
The Guest director Adam Wingard is set to helm the sequel, and told Empire 'we saw this as a Nicolas Cage movie'.
He continued: "A couple of years ago, the studio maybe would have wanted a hot, young, up-and-coming actor or something. Now, Nicolas Cage is one of the hottest actors in Hollywood again."

The National Treasure series hit cinemas in 2004, with the second movie, Book of Secrets, released three years later.
In it, Cage plays historian and code-breaker Ben Gates, who spends his time uncovering dangerous secrets and searching for buried treasures.
The franchise is set to return with a Disney+ series entitled National Treasure: Edge of History, with Lisette Alexis in the lead role - but a third movie could also be on the cards with Cage returning as Gates.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer told Comicbook: "We’re working on the script right now. Hopefully [Cage] likes it, but it’s really good. So I think we’ll get it to him shortly."

And if news of the sequels wasn't exciting enough, The Hollywood Reporter claims the success of Pig has allowed Cage to command a huge $4 million to star in them - which is about $4 million more than he received for his Oscar-winning performance in Leaving Las Vegas.
The 1995 film was met with critical acclaim, and Cage won an Oscar for his performance.
But while it did wonders for his career, Cage never received the $100,000 he was promised to star in the film. And speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Figgis said neither did he.

"They said the film never went into profit," he said, referring to production company Lumiere Pictures.
