Deadpool and Wolverine may not even be out yet, but from the trailers alone the chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is clear.
This isn’t even the first film they’ve starred in together, having both appeared in the god-awful X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, Deadpool and Wolverine is their first time appearing together in a movie not beset by production and script issues.
Whilst the duo play up jokes of a feud online, Reynolds and Jackman have revealed in several interviews that the two of them, as well as Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy, have a close bond.

The pair appear to be looking even beyond this film though, as they’ve revealed that they have plans for another film already in the works.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds talked about their relationship saying: “I would say that [ours] is like any relationship that is successful and works: It's that two parties are rooting for each other.
“I'm always rooting for Hugh to score and win. I also know the infinite nuance of his heart and his mind and who he is.
"I can say first-hand that he's a person who's not just worth rooting for, he's somebody who's impossible to not root for."

Later in the interview, however – Reynolds dropped the bombshell that the pair ‘have one [they’re] looking to do soon’.
The big twist however, is that according to Entertainment Weekly, it isn’t even one set to feature superheroes whatsoever.
In a previous interview with Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman about Deadpool and Wolverine for Vanity Fair, they actually revealed that the film very nearly did not happen.

When preparing ideas for a third Deadpool instalment, and the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Reynolds hit a wall.
Shawn Levy said: “We frankly struggled to find a story that felt original and non-derivative of the other two Deadpool movies.
“It had to be deserving of the first Deadpool entry into the MCU, but also feel grounded because this is an earthbound, gritty, realistic superhero franchise.

“Ryan and I were right at the edge of saying to Kevin, 'You know what? Maybe now is not the right moment because we’re not coming up with a story'.
"And that is the moment when Ryan’s phone rang and it was Hugh calling from his car."
Jackman went on to tell the story of how he realised whilst on holiday that one of the things he truly wanted to do was create another Wolverine film alongside Reynolds’ Deadpool.
The rest, as they say, is history – as the film is set to have the biggest opening of any R-Rated film ever.
