Viewers are throwing one star reviews at season three of The Boys over the amount of male nudity in the show.
It's one of the most popular shows on Amazon Prime, the perfect antidote to the dominance of superheroes on film and TV, but not everyone is enjoying the latest season of The Boys.
Take a look at the trailer below:
The first three episodes of season three dropped on Friday (3 June) and was soon followed by a series of one star reviews complaining about the amount of male nudity on their screens.

Some of the reviews have been complaining about the show becoming 'political' and going 'woke' because there are naked men in it.
Comic Book has pointed out that Amazon probably expected this reaction from some corners of the internet, having poked fun at bad reviews in their promos for season two.
One person complained that The Boys was 'VERY political and VERY anti male', adding that the show had 'plenty of male butts and wieners' for viewers to enjoy.

Someone else said they found the show 'way too vulgar and sexually explicit', possibly referencing the scene when a shrinking superhero climbed inside his boyfriend's penis, only to accidentally kill him when he sneezes and returns to normal size.
Meanwhile, another of the poor reviews came from someone who admitted they hadn't even watched the show.
They argued that skimming season three was enough to know it 'will suck' because the people making it 'hate storytelling and decided to be woke'.
Someone else warned people not to let children watch the show which is unnecessary since The Boys is very clear that it's not meant to be for kids. Well, the 'exploding penis' scene certainly backs this warning up.

Fortunately for The Boys, these review bombers are a tiny minority of people who watched the show and cared enough to leave a score.
Season three is currently sitting at 96 percent fresh reviews from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, while the audience score of 86 percent is another sign of how well the show is doing.
The vast majority of people and critics who watched the show are loving it and it's rare to find such a popular show without even a handful of overly negative reviews.

Those viewers upset at the amount of nudity in the latest season of The Boys should probably bear in mind that there's much more to come, especially since the show is dedicating an episode to adapting the 'Herogasm' plotline from the comics.
With a name like that you can probably guess what it's about.
Season three of The Boys is streaming on Amazon Prime, with new episodes being released each Friday.
