Tony Hawk took to the Oscars stage to present a James Bond tribute, and fans are confused.
This year's Oscars have enlisted the help of A-list talent to present awards, introduce music performances and other segments of the show.
On this occasion, the skating legend joined Shaun White and Kelly Slater before a tribute to 60 years of James Bond.

Tony Hawk is pretty much universally beloved. However, on paper, the idea of him opening a James Bond segment is something nobody could predict.

One user wrote: "When I think James Bond, I think Tony Hawk." Another tweeted: "Having Tony Hawk, Kelly Slater and Shaun White introduce a James Bond montage is what an 80 year old male Oscar producer thinks would be cool for a 60 year old male viewer."
A third wrote: "Opposite side of the coin on the Oscars, but this show so far ain’t it, chief. It’s amazing they can cut a ton of awards from the show, but Tony Hawk introduces a James Bond montage? What am I watching?"
Then again, it may seem wild, but it's paid off with many viewers, with one writing: "Tony Hawk introducing a montage of James Bond movies – a classic Oscars moment we won’t soon forget."
Another wrote: "Tony Hawk, Shaun White and Kelly Slater introducing a Bond montage made perfect sense to me."

A third tweeted: "Y'all were really acting like Tony Hawk and Shaun White were bad choices to be presenters on the #Oscars. Presenting 60 years of Bond was a cool idea."
While likely no major fault of their own, some noticed the trio left out George Lazenby – who starred in On Her Majesty's Secret Service – while listing the actors behind Bond over the years.
One user wrote: "Hang on, did neither Tony Hawk, Kelly Slater, or Shaun White say George Lazenby’s name when listing the Bonds? Montage was already a waste of space, but that just makes it seem all the more inconsequential."

Another wrote: "Getting Kelly Slater, Tony Hawk and Shaun White to introduce the Bond package is kinda awesome until they forgot to mention George Lazenby."
A third tweeted: "Look, I like Tony Hawk, Shaun White, and Kelly Slater but... wouldn't this celebration of 60 years of James Bond's cinematic legacy be better if introduced by, I don't know, Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, and Timothy Dalton, with a cameo by George Lazenby?"
