A YouTuber serving a ban from Twitch has lost tens of thousands of subscribers after admitting to messaging a minor.
Dr DisRespect has taken to social media to defend himself after a former Twitch employee alleged that the ban was inflicted upon him because he ‘got caught sexting a minor in the then-existing Twitch Whispers product’.
The streamer, real name Herschel ‘Guy’ Beahm IV, was mysteriously banned in 2020 and kept quiet about the reasoning behind it until former account director of Strategic Partnership at Twitch, Cody Conners, shocked the internet.

Although Beahm attempted to lift the ban through a civil dispute due to a contract breach, that concluded with no rewards in 2021.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Conners said: "He got banned because got caught sexting a minor in the then existing Twitch whispers product. He was trying to meet up with her at TwitchCon. The powers that be could read in plain text."
Hitting back in a lengthy statement, also on X, Beahm wrote: "Lets cut the f**king bulls**t, as you know there's no filter with me.

"I've always been up front and real with you guys on anything that I can be up front about, and I'm always willing to accept responsibility... which is why I'm here now."
He went on to confirm that he did message a minor but claimed there were no 'real intentions' behind it and that the conversations with the minor were 'mutual' and at times 'leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate'.
Beahm, who was been married to his wife 'Mrs Assassin' since 2008, added: "Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed, I never even met the individual."
Continuing: "I'm no f**king predator or pedophile. Are you kidding me? Anyone that truley [sic] knows me f**king knows where I stand on those things with those types of people. F**k that.

"That's a different level of disgust that I f**king hate even hearing about. Don't be labeling me as the worst of the worst with your exaggerations. Get the f**k outta here with that sh*t."
He added that no criminal charges had been brought against him, but it seems the internet had seen enough as he has lost almost 9,000 followers on X as well as thousands more on YouTube.
Following Beahm's statement, co-founder of Midnight Society Robert Brawling broke his silence.

Also taking to X, he posted: “This is a statement from me personally. It does not reflect any of my companies and has not gone through any legal or PR approvals.
“If you inappropriately message a minor. I can not work with you. Period. I promised to only act on facts, and I did.”
