Conversation has sparked within the gaming community after learning an electronic bodysuit that causes you to feel pain is on the market.
An innovative product from Spanish manufacturing company OWO, allows users to experience the same physical sensations that their video game character is.
By wearing the specially-designed bodysuit, fans of Fortnite can experience fast driving through the Nitrodome, while Tekken players can actually feel the impact of being taken down by Jin Kazama.
This product, called the OWO Haptic Suit, retails for a whopping €499 (£539.12), and allows the wearer to ‘physically feel everything that happens in a video game’.

“This patented haptic system is unique because we can create infinite different sensations thanks to our Sensations Technology,” the official listing reads.
“OWO uses trains of pulse (electrical pulse) to generate infinite different sensations.”
The bodysuit, capable of simulating discomfort and pain, has been dubbed a ‘new portal into extraordinary worlds’.
Sensations available range from the sharp ache of a stab wound to stepping into a pretty windy area.

According to Medium, the skins may also allow you to feel the distinct heaviness of your over-flowing virtual backpack and send mini muscle spasms if you’ve been walking too long without rest.
If you don’t want to feel bursts of pain when you take hits from NPCs and bosses, then you can fully customise your OWO shirt via a dedicated mobile app.
Therefore, you can lower the pain threshold if it becomes all too much.

The website also states that you can wear the suit to immerse yourself in blockbuster Hollywood action movies and to gain a deeper connection to your favourite songs.
You should note however that the company only wants you to use their product if you are over the age of 18.
Naturally, this unique gaming accessory has raised eyebrows.
After watching popular TikTok user GingasVR test out the skin, many viewers have taken to Reddit to have their say.

One wrote: “No thank you. I am not a masochist.”
A second typed: “Let's not play Elden Ring on that.”
“Imagine getting the s**t kicked out of you in your own front room on GTA 6. That's the future,” remarked another.
A fourth said: “It sound horrible, but no lie, I’d want to try it at least once, but you got to get one of those Omni treadmills for the walking in VR for the full experience.”

“Would like to have this for Dark Souls,” commented a fifth.
A sixth concluded: “No thanks. I play video games so I can be brave without consequences.”
While the OWO suit seems geared towards those willing to exit their comfort zone, many who game via virtual reality headsets may be more drawn to it than others.
