People aren’t quite sure what to make of footage showing a forest looking completely unrecognisable after it was transformed into a music festival.
The footage in question has been doing the rounds on Reddit, and shows a sea of multi-coloured LED lights and lasers. Have a look at what all the fuss is about:
It could easily be mistaken for something out of a Sci-Fi or gaming movie but that’s actually Sherwood Forest located in the Double JJ Resort, Michigan, which gets turned into the annual Electric Forest music festival every June.

The event - which has been running since 2008 - draws in thousands of electronic music fanatics each year all looking for their music fix and some breathtaking scenery to go with it.
In the past few years the likes of industry heavyweights Disclosure, Odesza and Kygo have taken to the stage there, with the festival regarded as one of the best in the electronic music genre and having already sold out its 2023 stint.
However, a clip from the festival recently went viral on Reddit, where it was met with mixed reactions, with some people expressing concern for local wildlife.

“All the woodland creatures: ITS THE END OF THE WORLD WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING,” joked one person.
“Leaves doing photosynthesis: This is the weirdest and spiciest food I've ever had,” said a second.
Meanwhile, a third wrote: “Must be great for what little wildlife is left in there.”
And a fourth made the reference I know you were thinking: “I like to move it move it. King Julien in there somewhere.”

However, not everyone saw it in quite the same way, with some festival-goers speaking out in defence of the event.
“Having gone to this for four years and living in Michigan, I can say it's an amazing experience. The community and the ambience is a totally different world. My gf describes it as adult summer camp. A magical experience and for some life changing,” said one.
“So many rave haters here. I can't wait til I can go to Electric Forest,” put another.
The Double JJ resort describes itself as a ‘rustic, ranch-style resort surrounded by local cherry and apple orchards and spans over 2,000 acres of giant red oaks, white pines, and maple trees’. UNILAD could not immediately find information relating to wildlife in the area on its site.
