Louis Tomlinson has revealed how he was initially bothered by Harry Styles' success as a solo artist when One Direction split up.
The X Factor boyband split up in 2016, with all five of its members launching their own solo career.
Styles has had massive success since going solo, and as of 2020, had banked £50 million in his three years solo, according to The Sun.
Styles' most recent album, 'Harry's House', has smashed records across the globe, with its lead single 'As It Was' the UK's number one for an impressive ten weeks.

Since going solo, Styles has collected many accolades, winning two Brit Awards, a Grammy Award and a Ivor Novello Award.
It hasn't just been music for Styles, as he has appeared in acting roles in 2017's Dunkirk and 2022's Don't Worry Darling, amongst others.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Louis Tomlinson admitted how he felt about Styles' success after he went solo.
He said: "I’d be lying if I said it didn’t bother me at first. Only ’cos I didn’t know where to place myself, and really my only point of reference was other members of the band.

"But it’s not surprising to me that Harry's the most commercially successful because he really fits the mould of a modern star.
He continued: "He’s not just doing music, he’s got film as well, and the tour he’s done is unbelievable.
"It took me a while to work out where I stand. But I look on Harry like a brother, man. I have a lot of pride for what he’s doing."

Tomlinson was the last of the five band members to release an album, and he revealed how he was reluctant to go sole when One Direction split up in 2016.
In the same interview, he said: "It was a bit daunting. I’d just got to a stage where I really started to feel like I found my rhythm, I was enjoying songwriting, I felt like I finally worked out where I am in that band.
"And then it’s like: ‘Okay, well, now we’re going on a break.’ So there was a bit of petulance from my end, I was frustrated."

Despite splitting up over six years ago, Tomlinson revealed to The Telegraph how all the band members are quietly supportive of each other even though they do not speak as often nowadays.
He said: "I’m sure the lads will text me when the album comes out, we check in on each other, we’re good like that.
"I bumped into Niall (Horan) at Glastonbury, and even though we hadn’t spoken all year, it was like absolutely no time had passed. "
