People are flooding to social media in awe over the new $2 billion Las Vegas event space called Sphere.
The new live entertainment space officially opened on 29 September and was christened by none other than U2.
The Irish rock band performed their 1991 album Achtung Baby and videos from the concert were widespread on social media, showcasing the outer-worldly, glimmering and mightily impressive venue.

Prepare for your jaw to drop:
Sphere - designed by global architecture firm Populous - is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
There were originally plans for a similar build in London, but planning permission hasn't been achieved as a result of concerns over light pollution.

Las Vegas had no qualms about light pollution, however, and so went ahead with the 115 metres tall and 157 metres wide build.
Inside, Sphere's operations officer, Rich Claffey, tells CNN the screen goes 'from ground to 250 feet high, all the way round'.
"It keeps you fully immersed when you're sitting in that bowl," he notes.
Alongside a whopping 164,000 speakers dotted around the space, as well as seats which vibrate and machines that can create scene, wind and change the temperature, it has a capacity of 18,000. It's like you've been transported to another world, somewhere in outer space or The Matrix.

And unsurprisingly, the spectacle was no cheap feat, the project reported as costing a cool $2.3 billion.
Concert goers from the U2 gig are flocking to social media with videos from inside Sphere, unable to contain their excitement over the new build.
One video shows moving butterflies and other animals shining down from the domed LED screen.

Another sees the screen above the stage appearing to gain cracks, glimmering light breaking through to form a cross.
And a third clip displays lines of multicoloured writing - or what looks like code - rippling across the entirety of the domed ceiling.
"Look how cool that is! Are you kidding me?" A concert goer can be heard shouting in the background.

And it hasn't taken long for others to flood to the videos in awe of the inside screens too.
"U2 at the Sphere in Las Vegas was f**king insane," one said.
Another commented on one person's footage: "Wow, you are either sitting in the perfect spot or they have designed that well. Amazing!"
"This is so mesmerising! I just wana live there," a third said.
And a fourth resolved: "My brain is struggling to comprehend what's happening here..."
