'Worst Christmas songs of all time' have been revealed and the list will shock you

'Worst Christmas songs of all time' have been revealed and the list will shock you

There are some songs we've just heard played too many times

A poll has revealed the 'top 10 Christmas songs people would happily never hear again'.

Do you wait until December to put up decorations or before? Do you start playing Christmas songs on the first of the month or ban them until the week of the big day?

Some go crackers for Christmas, whereas others have firm rules in place when it comes to not overdoing the festive fun.

And there's 10 songs which some people are sick of hearing played on repeat already, so much so they'd actually be okay with never hearing them played ever again - and the results will probably shock you.

A total of 2,000 adults in the UK were surveyed in December 2024 as part of Twix's Twixmas campaign.

The poll revealed 20 percent of Brits get sick of Christmas songs by half-way through the month of December and 30 percent believe there's not been a solid festive tune released in years.

A mere 24 percent listen to Christmas songs every few weeks or less with some not listening to festive tunes at all and just 23 percent listen to Christmas tunes every day in the build-up to Santa coming to town.

The survey also broke down the top 10 Christmas songs people said they'd actually 'happily never hear again'.

In reverse order, the list kicks off with none other than 'Holy Night' by Celine Dion, followed by 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday' by Wizzard.

'Fairytale of New York' by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl follows with Michael Bublé's 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas' taking the seventh spot.

'Santa Tell Me' by Ariana Grande comes in at spot number six, but which make the top five?

Leona Lewis' 'One More Sleep' comes in at fifth place with East 17's 'Stay Another Day' taking fourth.

Third spot is awarded to Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' with Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe' in second.

And the top spot? Well, prepare for a shocker, as it's none other than the Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You'.

Well, given Carey only really has to defrost for one month to make a staggering amount every single year off the back of the song, she's clearly had the last laugh.

And if you are well and truly bored of the classic Christmas tunes, Twix is bringing out 'Twixmas Time' by D Double E and Nella Rose on December 27, so grab the Celebrations and have a listen.
