Country music star Jelly Roll has been praised after he stopped a gig mid-song when a fan went down in the crowd.
The events took place as Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, was performing his biggest-ever show at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach last weekend.
With more than 20,000 people watching on, Jelly Roll made his way through some of his biggest tracks, including the recent hit 'Need A Favor'.
It was as he was in the middle of that particular track that Jelly Roll suddenly stopped singing and called for the band to halt their performance.

Speaking into the mic, Jelly Roll pointed to the crowd in front of the stage and said: "We've got somebody down right here."
His quick decision to bring the gig to a halt meant the fan had much faster access to the help they needed, with Jelly Roll ensuring they were given some water as the rest of the crowd cheered on in support.
"I'll stop the show for anybody to make sure they're safe," the musician told the fan, adding: "I don't care what song I'm singing, I love you, I want you to feel better."
He then joked: "In fact, not only do I want you to get some water and start feeling better, I want you to get some water and feel better then come back and start drinking again."

After the fan was attended to, Jelly Roll got back into his performance and continued on with his song.
Footage of his reaction to the fan going down at the gig has been viewed thousands of times since it was shared on TikTok, where the caption read: "Jelly Roll stops show in Virginia Beach for someone passing out."
Many viewers praised the singer for how he took care of the fan, with one writing: "He is so humble and real. Love this man."

Another commented: "He is one of my most favorite people. He seems like an all around awesome dude. Thank you for sharing."
Jelly Roll has made clear on numerous occasions that he cares about his fans just as much as they care about him, as earlier this month he was brought to tears by the support he received during a sold-out gig at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee.
"I'm sitting up here with (expletive) goosebumps staring at all 23,000 of you," he said during the show. "This is crazy, this is so (expletive) crazy."
