Music fans have been left rather disturbed after the singer Miguel appeared on stage suspended by metal hooks that went through the skin on his back.
Performers will do all sorts to grab the audience's attention but we think this one might be a step too far in giving fans a show they'll never forget.

At a recent performance on Friday (25 August) at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, the singer was filmed suspended above the stage and singing while two metal hooks were dug into his back.

Wince-worthy footage of his song showed the skin being pulled quite some distance.
Plenty of Miguel's fans commented on the painful-looking stunt and said they really didn't need him to do that to put on a good show.
A fan who said they 'love' his music took to Instagram to ask him whether the show was in some way 'a cry for help' after finding the whole thing to be 'creepy as hell'.

Others were worried that something serious was going on to have led to this, while plenty of fans wanted to know if he was alright after what looked like a painful experience.
Miguel himself later took to the social media site to post pictures of his back with holes in it where the hooks had gone through and what appeared to be a bloodstained tank top.
He wrote: "VISCERA. What is your relationship to pain? What is your relationship to change?"
Still the concerned comments came in as fans told him 'all you had to do was perform' and urged him 'please don't start the weird s**t now'.

One fan told him 'you don't have a single song that requires you to bleed' while a second wrote 'all of this wasn't necessary'.
Someone else said 'I hope it's less painful than it looks' and there were plenty expressing concern for his wellbeing.
Others defended the singer for going his own way and expressing himself, since it appeared to be his choice to drive the metal hooks through his skin and be held aloft by them.

Someone said they 'hate to see' people 'complaining about how HE chooses to express HIMSELF' while another said 'maybe you didn't really f**k with him to begin with' to fans who were worried about the latest turn in his career.
A third wrote: "I defend Miguel because I truly love what he creates."
While the move was certainly controversial it seems to have been the singer's choice to do it.
