Miley Cyrus criticizes the Grammy awards after winning for first time this year

Miley Cyrus picked up two Grammys this year for 'Flowers'

Singer Miley Cyrus received her first Grammy award this year, but has now savagely hit out at the organisation in a new interview.

Cyrus, who received her first Grammy award (and her second) at the awards earlier this year, has told the awards body how she really feels.

Earlier this year she received the award for Best Pop Solo Performance, as well as Record Of The Year.

Miley's memorable appearance at the award ceremony included a performance of her hit 'Flowers' as she made a noticeable change to one of her lyrics as instead of singing, 'started to cry, then remembered I can buy myself flowers' she changed it to 'I started to cry, then remembered I just won my first Grammy!'

While she seemed thrilled on the night, four months later her feelings seem to have changed.

Speaking to W Magazine, the star said: "No shade, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?

"I’ve had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the f**k was I?

"And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the f**k was I? This is not about arrogance. I am proud of myself."

On the night of the Grammys, as fans also noticed a potential dig at ex husband Liam Hemsworth in a subtle lyrics change.

If the song - about Cyrus realising her own self-worth and comfortability being by herself - is actually a dig at Hemsworth, her little additions during her Grammys performance may have added fuel to the fire.

She sang 'I didn’t want to leave you’ interrupting herself to add ‘but I had to!’

She then sang, ‘I didn’t want to fight’ interrupting again to add, ‘But we did!’, much to the delight of the audience.

Her fans on social media were sent into overdrive over the ad-libs.

“Miley Cyrus stood up there on stage and said [basically] said F U Liam Hemsworth,” one X user wrote.

"Miley Cyrus is so beautiful Liam Hemsworth is cursing god rn," another wrote.

"Miley Cyrus 'Flowers' lyric change about her first Grammy has me BEAMING she just looked so joyful," said another.

"Liam Hemsworth watching Miley Cyrus win Record Of The Year for 'Flowers' knowing that song is about him," another commented sharing an image of a grumpy child.
