Sydney Sweeney addresses claims she was ‘objectified’ in Rolling Stones music video

Some expressed concerns about her roles in the music video

Sydney Sweeney is everywhere you look at the moment.

The Euphoria star has become a global name following the show's first series airing in 2019.

She's since starred in the likes of The White Lotus, and will be making her Marvel debut in Madame Web next year.

Elsehwere, her newest movie, Anyone but You with Top Gun: Maverick favorite Glen Powell, hits cinemas December 26.

As well as film and TV, Sweeney has starred in The Rolling Stones' music video for their new track, 'Angry'.

The song was released earlier this year and the video sees the 26-year-old sat on the back of a red convertible Mercedes in a rather skimpy outfit as someone drives her past a series of billboards showing the band through the years.

Sweeney frolics and rolls around on the car while singing along to the lyrics, and some have since accused the band of 'objectifying' the young woman.

Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn said to French magazine Les Inrockuptibles about the music video: "I listened to their new song and watched this horrible music video showing them at different stages of their lives on billboard.

"And this young woman objectified. What the hell is this? There’s something completely disconnected."

But Sweeney doesn't feel this way. In fact, the actress said she felt 'hot' while filming the video that's since been viewed 24 million times on YouTube.

She said to Glamour: "I felt hot. I picked my own outfit out of racks and racks of clothes. I felt so good in it."

Elsewhere in her chat with the fashion magazine, Sweeney shared that at one stage of her life she wanted to have a breast reduction.

Her plan was to go under the knife as soon as she hit the age of 18, but her mom deterred her from doing so.

"My mom told me, ‘Don’t do it. You’ll regret it in college'," Sweeney said.

And, in hindsight, she says she's glad she didn't have the surgery.

"They're my best friends," the 26-year-old said of her breasts."Everybody’s body is beautiful. When you are confident and you’re happy within is when it really shows to other people."

"I want to show girls that it’s amazing and beautiful and empowering to have the bodies that we have," Sweeney added.

I'm not sure about you guys, but I'd totally vote for Sweeney if she ran for office.
