Israeli singer Noa Kirel fired a not-so-subtle shot at Kanye West at the MTV EMA awards by wearing an outfit with his face all over it.
Kanye - or just Ye these days - is no stranger to making statements with his own outfits – including those ridiculous ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirts that he’s been in trouble for recently – but it’s his mouth that has been getting him into real bother lately.

West made some seriously weird and problematic comments online recently about Jewish people, before later doubling down on his actions.
In the end, he was dropped by several major brands, including Adidas.
Well, Noa Kirel – being an Israeli pop-singer – decided that she couldn’t let the big event pass without having her own say on matters.
Kirel turned up in an interesting get up that featured a number of bejewelled Star of David symbols, but also Kanye’s face all over her trousers.

It’s a daring look, you have to admit.
However, the singer – who will represent Israel at the next Eurovision Song Contest – explained her decision afterwards.
She said: “I had this idea that came to my head: after all the anti-Semitic things that Kanye said about Jewish people — and I’m Jewish — I knew I had to have something that will be powerful on the red carpet,

“I really wanted it to be a message and not just a regular outfit.
“And it takes some nerves, but I think the message was received.”
The look was put together at Kirel’s request by a stylist called Itai Bezaleli, who apparently said that Kirel was a ‘crazy woman’ for asking for it.
However, there was one famous fan – as Kirel said that Taylor Swift, who was also present at the awards, ‘liked the outfit’.

Kirel continued: “When I saw her [Swift], she was just sitting there, and you know, I’ve got the Israeli chutzpah, so I was, like, I’m going to introduce myself.”
There was another element to the outfit too, because it clearly wasn’t lost on Kirel that the awards were being held in Dusseldorf in Germany.
The 21-year-old said: “After the Holocaust and all that history, it was very important to me to make a statement [there] and to bring my culture and represent Israel.”

When asked whether her statement outfit was a big ‘f*** you’ to the disgraced rapper, Kirel said: “Um, I can say that, yeah,
“I mean, he said some bad stuff, and as a woman, as a young artist and as a Jew, I just had to react.”
Fair play, that’s one hell of a reaction.
