A woman's dismembered body has been discovered in two suitcases in a New York apartment, police have said.
The horrific discovery was made on Wednesday (21 September) after neighbours complained about a 'foul odour' coming from the sixth-floor apartment on on Linwood Street, Brooklyn.

However, when security arrived at the sixth-floor apartment to carry out what was initially a wellness check, they discovered a truly gruesome scene, with two suitcases containing the dismembered body parts.
