A celebrity has come forward to reveal what went down when a passenger on an American Airlines began having a meltdown over an 'imaginary person'.
Stand-up comedian Carrot Top was on board the flight that contained the now-viral incident, and recently took to Instagram to give his take. Take a look at the incident below:
Carrot Top - real name Scott Thompson - was filming his response from Orlando, Florida, after the flight was delayed in Dallas, Texas.

The incident the comedian, 58, was so pressed about happened on Sunday (2 July) as a flight was held up leaving Dallas because a woman began ranting about an imaginary person on board the flight.
She was filmed in a hysteric state, ranting: "I’m telling you, I’m getting the f**k off, and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f**k off and everyone can either believe it or they can not believe it.
"I don’t give two f**ks, but I am telling you right now — that motherf**ker back there is NOT real."
As she pointed towards the back of the plane, she then yelled: "You can sit on this plane, and you can die with them or not. I’m not going to."

Not exactly what you want to hear before a flight takes off.
The stunt delayed the journey by roughly three hours as passengers were forced to leave and reboard the plane.
The comedian was one of the many passengers who witnessed the incident, and recently took to Instagram to give his perspective on the whole situation.

He started off with a note of gratitude, writing: "I give my hat off to everyone at American Airlines today for how they handled the situation with that f**king nut job who just lost her mind in front of the whole plane."
The comic addressed the woman at the centre of the controversy: "I hope you're having a relaxing evening behind bars in Dallas, Texas.
"Hope you enjoyed your little stunt. It reminds me of the Eddie Murphy movie where he walks in and says 'Where is the man who wrecked the buffet?!'"
This was in reference to Murphy's 1984 movie Beverly Hills Cop.

Carrot Top finished off his video message by admitting he'd missed most of the Fourth of July festivities: "I missed the fireworks and everything!"
In the caption for his video, the prop comic wrote: "Well.. finally home in bed .. hats off to @americanair. how they handled this situation tonight. It’s really is maddening how 1 nut job can ruin everyone’s plan. Well made it home safe! I guess that’s all that matters. Nite."
The reason behind the woman's behaviour are not yet clear, though Carrot Top evidently didn't have much patience for it, given he branded it a 'stunt'.

According to the person who originally posted the clip, the woman was not arrested after the incident.
