A Chick-fil-A customer has gone viral after claiming a server poked fun at her lisp, which he said was 'cute'.
TikToker Joyce (@afro_carribean7) shared a video online to explain what happened, writing: “Now Chick-fil-A know damn well they wrong for that.”
The clip showed the grilled club sandwich with Pepper Jack cheese that she’d purchased via drive-thru.

Under ‘name’, it said: “Joyth.”
In a voiceover, Joyce said the server had noticed her lisp and said it was ‘cute’.
She recalled: “So I called at Chick-fil-A... I started talking to the person taking my order and dude was like, ‘Oh, that’s cute!’
“I said, ‘What’s cute?’

“He said, ‘You got a lisp when you talk.’
“And I’m like, ‘OK, thanks.’”
She said the employee then asked her what her name was, continuing: “I said ‘Joyce’.”

However, the name that was printed on the order sticker wasn’t Joyce, but Joyth.
The clip has since racked up 1.1 million likes and 5.7 million views – and more than 11,000 comments.
Many others were equally outraged, with one commenting: “It’s the fact that he acknowledged a lisp then did that????”
Missing the point, someone else said: “So I’m missing something. Is it not Joyth?”

Joyce replied: “No it’s Joyce.”
Others admitted they found it hilarious, suggesting the server was ‘trying to be funny’ or flirt with Joyce.
“I have NEVER laughed so hard at 2am than I am right now... He know he was wrong,” one other said.

Someone else added: “HE WAS TRYNA B FUNNY LMAOOOOO.”
Another wrote: “I literally laughed out loud… then went to the comments and continued to laugh out loud… I can’t I believe I almost swiped… sorry Joyce.”
Some others shared their own mistaken name woes, with one saying: “I was holding a dog named Sadie & someone asked its name & after I told them they said ‘Thadie’?”
Another said: “Hhaha as a fellow Joyce, someone at Starbucks spelled my name JOYS.”
Starbucks is particularly famous for misspellings on coffee cups, something the company has previously said is never intentional.
A spokesperson told Thrilist: "We have never asked or directed any of our partners to misspell names of our customers for any reason.
"Writing names on cups is a fun tradition born out of the relationship and interaction between our employees and customers.
"Our [baristas] aim to do their best when it comes to spelling the names of our customers, though at times it can be tricky."
UNILAD has reached out to Chick-fil-A for comment.
