An Australian couple have decided to sell their home as they are unable to fit their entire $100,000 collection in their house.
Speaking to 9 News, the couple explained the obsession with block building and the wide variety of pieces they have displayed in their home over the years.
Chris Alday said she discovered her love for Lego just when she was seven years old after receiving it as a gift from her mum.

Now in her 40s, Chris’ obsession sees no sign of slowing down.
Despite loving the creative outlet, she said she is hard pressed to start any new projects as she doesn’t have anywhere to display them in her Newport home.
And this isn’t a small flat housing the massive collection, Chris and her partner Daniel Dawson, live in a 4-bedroom, three-storied home on the seafront. They have even taken to creating a dedicated Lego room.
The couple decided to sell their home to buy a larger place where they hope to design an even larger room that can show off Chris’ creations.

"[It] sounds crazy [but] I've completely filled a bedroom, including hanging things from the roof," Chris said.
"It's also in my garage, I've got my Lego cars down there as well."
While he may not do so much of the building himself, Daniel said he supports Chris completely and finds himself wandering into the Lego room to admire the designs.

“I think it's actually really cool, it gives Chris a great outlet to de-stress and have some fun and it's super creative,” he said.
"I do occasionally wander in there and look around and go, 'Oh wow, there's the Colosseum!'"
Some of Chris’ prized designs include Hogwarts castle from the Harry Potter franchise as well as real world wonders like Manchester United soccer stadium, the Taj Mahal and London’s Tower Bridge.

The couple have been living in their Newport home since 2008 and renovated it exactly to their liking but Daniel said, ‘it’s time to move to the next house’ [in order to] have a bigger Lego room.
The couple even addressed the potential critics who would be bemused by the obsession.
“Try it, try building some Lego, it is actually quite addictive,” Chris said to her critics.
Daniel added: “I'm sure everyone either had a piece of Lego or played with a piece of Lego… there's no harm in going back and exploring your inner child.”
