Gabby Petito's mom has detailed why she believes a third party may have gotten involved after Brian Laundrie murdered her daughter.
Nichole Schmidt has revealed 'new information' that she has claimed she was only made aware of this month by an unnamed source.
While appearing as a guest on Twilight star Taylor Lautner's The Squeeze podcast, which the actor hosts alongside his wife Taylor, Schmidt made a strong allegation about her daughter's killer's mom and dad, Roberta and Christopher Laundrie.

She has previously claimed that they killed Laundrie, and has now dove further into her theory that the pair were involved in their son's suicide.
"I actually just found out some new information a few days ago,” Schmidt claimed.

"There was [a person] - I actually don’t know their name, which is better - that was at the house when Brian was missing and, I would say he was hiding - he wasn’t missing, but he was actually dead. But his room was completely gutted and renovated. None of his things were there anymore. It was gone.”

She went on to claim that the week that her daughter went missing, cops had arrived at the Laundrie household, 'all his things were gone', as she speculated that officers had visited so that sniffer dogs could pick up a scent of their son.
“The room was completely empty, just gone,” Schmidt added.
Speaking of her unnamed source, she claims that they were in the home at that time and has since told Schmidt that they could sense something was 'wrong' with Roberta.
“They said that there’s something wrong with that mother she’s clearly not mentally well, and I’m like that’s just add it to the list because I didn’t even know about that,” she alleged.

In July 2021, Gabby and Laundrie embarked on on a cross-country trip of a lifetime, where they were living out of a Ford Transit van they converted into a camper.
But their Instagram-perfect relationship was a far cry from reality, as the pair went from being young and in love to the center of a criminal investigation.

An autopsy later found that Gabby was killed by 'blunt force injuries' to her head and neck and 'manual strangulation' believed to be on either August 27 or 28, 2021.

Just under a month later, Laundrie died by way of suicide believed to be on September 21. The following month, his remains were discovered, with medical examiners concluding that he died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Schmidt claimed on Lautner's podcast: "I will say straightforward, I don't think he killed himself. I think either his father or [his mother] did. That's just my opinion, it's not a fact, it's an opinion."
LADbible Group approached Steven Bertolino, the legal representative for the Laundries, but he declined to comment.
