Elon Musk has responded after pictures of him partying shirtless on a yacht in Greece attracted a whole heap of attention on the internet.
When you’re Elon Musk, pretty much everything you do attracts a lot of heat online, so when he was pictured hanging out shirtless on a yacht in Mykonos whilst having a swim, the internet pretty well exploded.
There have been memes, as well as some fairly hurtful comments – that likely don’t actually get to the man himself – and a whole load of jokes.

Still, it would seem that all of it is quite literally water off the Tesla chief’s back.
He tweeted: “Haha damn, maybe I should take off my shirt more often … free the nip!!”
Then, as if he felt he needed to reassure everyone that he wasn’t slacking off for too long, he added: “Already back in the factory btw.”

The world’s richest man was pictured enjoying a drink and partying on the yacht of high-flying agent – and the inspiration behind HBO’s Entourage – Ari Emanuel.
Also present was Ari’s wife, 33-year-old fashion designer and entrepreneur Sarah Staudinger.
All of this comes against the backdrop of Musk’s ongoing acrimonious legal battle with Twitter.
The 51-year-old announced a while back that he had agreed a huge $44 billion fee to take over the social network, before pulling out of the deal and citing that Twitter hadn’t provided him with sufficient information on certain things.

That’s not good enough for Twitter though, and they’ve moved to make him buy the company regardless.
Yesterday, Twitter won the first round of the fight as a judge in Delaware ruled against Musk and ordered a trial to take place in October, despite the SpaceX chief wanting a delay.
That judge said that there is a ‘cloud of uncertainty’ hanging over Twitter at the moment and accepted that a delay could cause significant damage to the business.

Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick, the head of the Delaware court of chancery, said: “Delay threatens irreparable harm. The longer the delay, the greater the risk.”
She added that the court was able to ‘quickly process complex litigation’.
However, Musk’s attorney Andrew Rossman said that the idea that Musk is trying to damage Twitter somehow is ‘preposterous’, adding: “He has no interest in damaging the company.”
Rossman said that Musk’s team needed more time because this deal is ‘one of the largest take-private deals in history’ and involves a ‘company that has a massive amount of data that has to be analyzed. Billions of actions on their platform have to be analyzed.’

Musk now has less time to prepare for the trial, which will take place over five days in October.
