"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," she said.
"She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known."
There has been a lot of interest into what will happen to the iconic Graceland estate, which was purchased by Elvis for him and his family.
Lisa Marie Presley inherited the property after Elvis' death in 1977 when she was just nine years old and she owned it up until her own death.

The trust eventually dissolved when she turned 25, which gave her full ownership of Graceland.
The mansion fast became a huge tourist hotspot for Elvis fans while he was alive and it remains one to this day, with around 650,000 people visiting it every year.
People from all over the world love to travel to see the home of the King of Rock and Roll and gaze at what it looks like on the inside.

It wasn't until 1982 that the mansion was opened up to the public.
Lisa Marie formed The Elvis Presley Trust with her mother, Priscilla, and the National Bank of Commerce to help manage the property.
A representative from Graceland has now confirmed to People that Lisa Marie's daughters Riley, Harper and Finley will be the inheritors of the estate.
The 54-year-old had two children during her marriage to Danny Keough. Riley is now 33 and Benjamin tragically died by suicide at 27.

She then had twin daughters after marrying Michael Lockwood in 2006 and they are both 14 years old.
A spokesperson for the Presley family has also now confirmed Lisa Marie will be buried at Graceland alongside her son Benjamin.
There will be a public memorial service on the front lawn of Graceland at 9am on Sunday, January 22 for Lisa Marie.
While people might be tempted to bring and lay flowers at the Graceland estate, the family has urged people to donate to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation instead.
