If you're a fan of chicken nuggets (who isn't?) then you'll know that some nuggets are much better than others.
According to Statista, 30 percent of Americans have chicken nuggets for dinner every month.
Now, everyone has their own preferences - so it's worth pointing out that this list is purely subjective - but I think we can all agree that when it comes to a chicken nugget, there's things you want, and things you don't want.

For example, soggy batter is a hard no. Tender chicken is a strong yes. And then there's the flavoring of the seasoning.
There's a lot to consider, and now, foodie expert Amanda Mactas at Eat This, Not That! has ranked the best nuggets out there, in descending order.
Popeyes
Although Amanda said that the chicken itself in Popeyes' nugs was probably the best, she would have preferred less breading.

There was also a lack of seasoning, which really let the nuggets down.
"Unfortunately, there wasn't much seasoning on these nuggets and they could really benefit from some pepper or something similar to give them a tiny kick of extra flavor," she said.
After feeling as though they were 'sitting heavy in her stomach' Amanda said she probably wouldn't order these again.
Burger King
After deciding that the nuggets looked a little overcooked, Amanda was ultimately let down by the texture.

And despite the Burger King chicken nuggets having a pretty good flavor, the lack of crunch was a bit disappointing.
"The texture made me think that they weren't made fresh, but instead sat under a heat lamp for a while," she explained.
Shake Shack
In fifth place, things were starting to look up with Shake Shack's offering, but unfortunately, a combination of dry chicken and greasy coating led Amanda to rank the nuggets much lower than she had expected.

She did credit the chain with its choice of seasoning, however.
"It tasted as though the chicken was seasoned in addition to the breading, which was a smart choice," she said.
"Sadly, however, these were some of the driest bites of the bunch."
KFC
Amanda explained that KFC's offering had 'great flavor'.

But despite a decent amount of seasoning, the nuggets didn't pass the crunch test.
"These nuggets might have been a bit soggy in their container because there wasn't any crunch to them which was a bit disappointing. The meat inside, though, was juicy and tasty, but not quite as juicy as Popeyes' nuggets," she added.
McDonald's
You can always count on McDonald's to save the day, right?
The fast-food chain took third place, with Amanda explaining: "I don't know if it's because I grew up with these nuggets, or it's because they're really that good, but I just can't turn down the version at McDonald's.
"These nuggets are crispy on the outside and both juicy and tender on the inside."
Wendy's
Round of applause for Wendy's, who took second place in Amanda's ranking, thanks to a perfect layer of crispiness, good flavor and a lack of greasiness.
"There was a great outer layer of crispiness and breading on these, but not so much as to make the ratio off," she said.
"...To me, they seemed like a more flavorful version of the McDonald's nuggets."
Chick-fil-A
According to the expert, Chick-fil-A takes the crown with nuggets 'cooked to perfection'.
A combination of tender chicken, with a crisp exterior and superior flavor made these a clear winner.
"There's a slight tanginess to these chicken bites and the saltiness brings out all of the flavors of the seasoning," said Amanda.
"This won't be the last time I make a pit stop at Chick-fil-A."
