Arguably one of the best things about a Costco visit is the snacks and food court at the end, kind of like a reward after all that bulk buying and bargain hunting.

If you're not familiar with Costco's food court, then it's become one of the major benefits for members as they can get pretty cheap meal deals for a hot dog and soda, as well as huge pizzas for a good price.

Typically, members can grab a bite to eat after shopping or even just for a quick snack, which saw them order and eat in an American style canteen.

However, things have changed and Costco customers have been quick to let the world know that they're not happy about the changes.

Where many Costco stores in the past had seating with tables and chairs and also dine-in booths, many of these appear to have been replaced with tall standing tables instead, meaning much less diners can no longer sit down to enjoy their food.

One person shared on Reddit: "Maybe it's just me, but I like being able to relax my feet for a few minutes and eat a hot dog after spending an hour walking up and down aisles, avoiding jackasses with their carts."

Another added: "Nope — immediate dislike of this development."

Over on Twitter, the annoyance continued as one Costco shopper wrote: "Why tf do they have standing tables at Costco now?"

Another shared a picture of the standing tables as they posted: "My local Costco took out half of the picnic tables for this big city table standing bulls**t."

Yet not every shopper is annoyed to see standing tables in place of the old dine in options. Some prefer the new tables, as it stops people from hanging around, as one shopper shared: "I like it, people flop down and spread out way too much at the food court...This is for grabbing a bite on your way out, not a family gathering."

Another added that they see it more as a 'pit stop' as they wrote: "Ah the new Hotdog pitstop table… I’m there for like 3 minutes while I enjoy my hotdog and drink, before heading in to the wonderland."

This isn't the only change that Costco has been making, as they've also switched up how customers order pizza at their food courts too.

In the past, customers would order their slice at a digital kiosk and wait for an employee to call their ticket number which is a pretty standard way of ordering.

Yet last month, it was revealed they'd made some changes to this way of ordering, and now instead customers pay and then have to wait in a line to pick up their food and whilst it's seemingly a small change, people are still not happy about it.

This combined with membership prices appearing to rise each year has seen many shoppers annoyed at Costco, yet still those bargains keep drawing us in.
