Not so long ago, a man called Patrick found himself out of breath just from climbing a flight of stairs, telling Mail Online he felt like a 'prisoner' in his own body because he was 'so big, heavy, and unhealthy' and overall just 'miserable'.
So decided to go carnivore to help his health and his weight.
What followed was a dramatic drop in his weight, and now he claims to feel better than ever.

After his success, many others tried it too, and after a few months, had varying results.
While some felt better, others didn’t fare so well.
For YouTuber Jake Moscato, he wanted to get on board of the trend in a bid to see exactly what it would do to his body and also to get into better shape.
But his journey wasn’t easy.

Posting a video on his self-named channel, the man explained his reasons for doing it.
He said at the start of the nearly 10-minute video that he wanted to improve his overall health, but it started on the wrong foot.
He griped: “I knew this challenge wasn't going to be that bad. Um, yeah, unfortunately looking back, I severely underestimated what was to come.

“I don't know if I felt chest pain, but I definitely felt something weird going on with my stomach, but I started feeling anxious.
“So, almost like the mild depression, nothing. I'm not looking forward to anything. I'm so sick of this. I really am. I'm so sick of meat. I might go vegan after this.”
For the first couple of weeks, Moscato found himself unable to be consistent with his diet, mainly because he went on vacation to California and his carnivore needs were not ‘convenient’.
Then, when he went back to New York, he continued to slip up and continued to feel bad.

But he realized that he was being far too strict with his diet, explaining: “I was way too strict. Originally, I had the attention of doing the lion diet, which is just red meat and salt, that's it.”
He added: So, I figured something that I could do to get back on track is, is it, you know, keep the diet, ninety five, 97 red and do a little bit of fruit. Do a little bit of eggs, you know, a little bit of pork here and there, right? It's not going to kill you.
“So that's what I did.”
From then on, the YouTuber went from strength from strength, and with a more lenient carnivore diet (pork, red meat, fruits and eggs), he was able to complete the 60-day challenge, transforming his body.
On day 23, he noticed a strange change in his mindset, where he noticed that he started smelling red meat and it smelled ‘delicious’.
After being sent a box from a company, Butcher Box, which contained a variety of meats, he began to enjoy his meals and could eat more than ground meat.
In month two, he began to feel like his mood was improving, along with his energy and focus.
After the challenge ended, he went to the doctors and got his test results to show just what happened to his body after 60 days and they were amazing.
He shared: “As far as muscle mass. We are up, I think, six pounds of muscle gain. Two pounds on this arm, two pounds of this arm, two pounds on my chest. Body fat from 16 to 14.6 per cent. Body weight, 208 pounds to 202 pounds, and I got pretty shredded.”
He added: “All my results were good, like testosterone even went up, it went from 748 to 800, insulin super low iron, double iron, definitely double higher than that. I mean, everything [is] bringing up healthy.”
