Officer Sam Buhr from South Dakota made sure that one customer wouldn't miss their DoorDash after he arrested the delivery driver.
On Tuesday, January 25, Buhr arrested the DoorDash driver in the middle of a food delivery.
Naturally, the officer did what any good citizen would do – he completed the job.

A video of the officer going 'above and beyond' was posted to TikTok by 24-year-old Anastasia Elsinger, who had ordered the food.
The video, which has more than 11.6 million views, was captured from footage on Elsinger's Ring doorbell.
The clip starts with Elsinger opening the door, and Buhr proceeds to explain the situation.

He says, 'I know I'm not who you're expecting, but your driver got arrested, so I figured I'd complete the DoorDash, take care!'
Elsinger can then be heard thanking him and laughing about the incident.
People on TikTok loved the interaction, with one user commenting on Buhr's cheery greeting.

They said, 'He’s excited to be doing someone else’s job lmao,' with another adding, 'To SERVE and Protect.'
One user commented on the sheer luck by which Elsinger captured the footage, remarking, 'The fact that you had a ring camera to capture this needle in a haystack moment.'
Another joked that 'Doordash needs to give him a raise'.
However, police spokesman Sam Clemens was quick to address any claims that the officer was moonlighting as a DoorDash driver.

Clemens said of the incident, 'We had a report of an officer that was moonlighting as a DoorDash employee while on duty. That’s not exactly accurate.'
He continued to explain the unusual situation, adding, 'This isn’t normal by any stretch, it’s not like we have officers that are out delivering food. But the little things like this, going above and beyond, helping people out, that’s the things that we do, probably more often than people realise. ...It’s those little things that officers do that can make a big difference.'
We wonder if the driver he arrested gave him directions to the house?
