GI Jane hairstylist Enzo Angileri has spoken out about Jada Pinkett Smith's reaction to Chris Rock's Oscars joke.
Will Smith's slapping of Rock after the presenter made a G.I. Jane joke about Pinkett Smith's shaved head - a result of her alopecia - has quickly become the most talked-about moment of the 94th Academy Awards.
However, the hairstylist of the 1997 action film starring Demi Moore has since revealed his take on the altercation and Pinkett Smith's initial reaction.

Rock's comment which led to Smith rising from his seat and Pinkett Smith rolling her eyes was: "Jada, I love you, G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it.'
However, Angileri has stated that he doesn't understand Pinkett Smith's reaction.
He told Page Six: "I thought she looked amazing, so regal. I thought it was a beauty choice... I have never seen her look more beautiful.

"It’s nothing to cause such a rolling of the eyes in my opinion, that stimulated her husband to act that way."
Although the hairstylist did note that he didn't know Pinkett Smith had alopecia.
Just days before the Oscars, Pinkett Smith opened up on TikTok about the autoimmune condition.

She said: "I feel the freedom today. I don't give two craps what people think of this bald head of mine."
In an Instagram post after the altercation, the actress reflected: "This is a season for healing. And I'm here for it."
While Angileri has previously worked with Smith and called him 'the nicest guy,' the hairstylist reflected on Smith's slapping of Rock as 'completely unacceptable'.

"Don't we try to teach our kids not to raise their hands?" he said.
After apologising during his acceptance speech for his Best Actor award, Smith has since publicly apologised to both the Academy and Rock via Instagram.
He reflected that his behaviour at the awards 'was unacceptable and inexcusable,' and that his actions 'were not indicative of the man [he] want[s] to be'.

Speculation has been growing over whether or not Smith will lose his award as a result of the altercation.
The organisers of the Oscars condemned Will's behaviour and a formal review has since been launched to 'explore further action and consequences in accordance with our Bylaws, Standards of Conduct and California law'.
Although, Academy Governor Whoopi Goldberg has weighed in on the likelihood of Smith being stripped of his Oscar.
Smith and Rock have also reportedly made amends according to American rapper Sean Combs a.k.a Puff Daddy.
