Horrifying simulation shows 'one of the worst torture methods in human history'

I'm not sure if it's worse for the person or the animal involved in it...

There were many rumored ways that people were tortured back in the day, but this is up there as one of the worst.

One way that's known to leave shivers down a person's spine was supposedly created by the ancient Greeks.

This certain method of torture saw someone forced to climb in a hollow brass bull.

A fire was then set beneath the bull, thus cooking the person inside it. Ouch.

Then there was the way that Hungarian man György Dózsa was killed hundreds of years ago.

Reportedly Dózsa had to sit butt naked on an iron throne (no, not that iron throne from Game of Thrones) while wearing an iron crown.

What makes that so bad other than having to sit starkers in front of a load of people? Well the throne and crown were heated up so I'll leave you to imagine what that feels like.

Dózsa 'had to then hold a glowing sceptre to ridicule his ambition to become king' as well, according to YouTube page Dark History.

Moving on to an apparent means of torture that some called 'tickle torture', I can assure you that it's far from funny.

A simulation was posted online explained how it worked and it's not for those with a weak stomach.

The video explains that the person being tortured would be restrained and have their feet dipped in salt water. Then a goat would be ushered in that would lick the assailants feet.

But they were subjected to this sensation until they'd peed their pants with laughter, instead the goat would pretty much lick off the person's skin with the sandpaper-like tongues.

Eventually the raw and exposed flesh would end up infected, prolonging the pain the person was already in.

People have been quick to share their thoughts on the horrendous similuation.

"Humans are endlessly inventive when it comes to hurting and killing one another," wrote one person.

A second said: "At first i thought 'oh the goat will tickle the feet, yeah that's torturous but also kinda funny and harmless'. Oh how naive I was."

Someone else had similar thoughts when they first started watching the clip. They said: "Not me thinking the goat would tickle the feet with its tongue, and make him die of laughter."

I think we can all agree that we'd rather die laughing than screaming in pain...
