The wait goes on for GTA 6 but Grand Theft Auto fans did at least have something to enjoy over the weekend with the news that the game's Cluckin' Bell has opened in real life.
Cluckin' Bell isn't exactly known for its fine cuisine in the GTA games, but fans were still excited to see a real-life version of it pop up at San Diego Comic-Con with all the features you'd expect from the fictional fast-food franchise.
If for some reason you've avoided the Grand Theft Auto series for the last 20 years, Cluckin’ Bell is a fast-food restaurant within the GTA universe that first appeared back in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

It's a parody of real-life chicken restaurants like KFC or Chick-fil-A and artist BoyWorldWide sought to make it a reality at Comic-Con, which ran between 21 and 24 July.
BoyWorldWide called the pop-up a four-day 'art performance' and 'immersive experience' and the likeness was uncanny, including employees wearing chicken hats and yellow uniforms, while the branding and range of products was incredibly accurate.

Attendees were able to pick up real-life Sprite knock-offs, Sprunk, and outside of the restaurant, there was a wanted poster for Grand Theft Auto V character Trevor Phillips.
The restaurant didn't appear to have any affiliation with GTA creators Rockstar Games, but it may well want to think about getting in on the action given the pop-up's success over the weekend.
Earlier in the week it announced a major development, with news that the forthcoming game will feature the series' first-ever playable female character.

Sources told Bloomberg that Rockstar is trying to ensure GTA will be a more inclusive experience.
As part of the move, apparently a playable female protagonist will make a historic appearance in Grand Theft Auto VI.
The report states: "The woman is Latina and will be one of a pair of leading characters in a story influenced by the bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde.
"Developers are also being cautious not to 'punch down' by making jokes about marginalised groups, the people said, in contrast with previous Grand Theft Auto games."

Exciting stuff, although given how long it's already been since 2013's GTA 5, don't expect it anytime soon.
