Popular internet pranksters have racked up thousands of followers online by sharing videos of their strange and baffling interactions with unsuspecting members of the public.

TikTok and Instagram users 'Golden Boyz' describe themselves as being 'Here For The Laughs', and ever since their first post in September last year they've continued to prove their bio is no joke.

The pranksters, from the north of England, strive to entertain their followers by performing increasingly baffling stunts in public, whether it be pulling disturbing faces at strangers, moaning in people's ears or engaging with shop workers through nothing but barks.

See one of their videos below:

The Golden Boyz made their debut with the above clip, which sees one of the jokers asking a customer in a shop to bark down the phone to help fool his girlfriend, who is said to think he is looking after their dog, Fluffy.

After telling the man that he'll be in 'big trouble' if his girlfriend finds out the truth, the stranger obliges to the odd request and proceeds to bark on demand.

The clip has racked up more than 100,000 views since it was first posted in September, with the pranksters taking their 'hats off to the guy' after having previously tried the same prank on 'about 10 people... who all bottled it'.

Since then, the group has continued to try and push the boundaries of what they can get away with in public.

In one clip, posted earlier this month, one of the jokers takes on the persona of a dog as he runs on his hands and feet in a supermarket, where a confused worker can be seen stacking the shelves.

A far cry from the usual requests of 'where's the cereal?' and 'do you have a free-from section?', the TikToker offered up nothing but barks, prompting the staff member to jump in surprise, and probably fear.

Another video shows one of the pranksters carefully placing a cardboard box on a stranger's head, before quickly putting another box over his own to cover his tracks. Upon taking the box off, he made eye contact with the stranger and looked around in confusion, as if wondering who the culprit could possibly be.

Viewers have praised the Golden Boyz for their continued antics, with one viewer encouraging the content creators to 'keep it up'.

Responding to the video of the man pretending to be 'Fluffy', another TikTok user wrote: 'I've been laughing at this page for a good 30 mins'.

Only time will tell what the Golden Boyz will get up to next!
