Minnie Driver has said marrying ex-partner Josh Brolin would've been ‘the biggest mistake of her life’.
The Good Will Hunting actor, 54, met Marvel star Brolin, 56, on the set of the 2000 film Slow Burn.
The acting pair quickly fell in love, and just a year later Brolin decided to propose.

While Driver said yes to the question, the pair called it quits just six months into their engagement - something which was announced in October 2001.
“Minnie Driver and Josh Brolin have decided to cancel their wedding plans. Their decision is mutual and amicable,” a representative for Driver said at the time.
The actor revealed in her 2022 memoir Managing Expectations that she discovered at the age of 12 that her parents had never married as her dad was already married to a different woman.

In a new interview, the Return to Me star discussed how her father's admission has impacted her own relationships with men.
"If I look at my history, what it did was make me want to be married so much and then choose men who were so not the right men to be married to,” she told The Sunday Times.
“So I would carry on longing to be married and to have that conservative version [of a relationship], find men who had no interest in that, and then if one did, run a mile.”
Driver then went on to discuss her relationship with Brolin, adding: "The one time I was engaged it would have been, I think, the biggest mistake of my life."

UNILAD has reached out to Brolin representatives for comment.
Brolin, who played Thanos in the MCU, went on to marry actor Diane Lane, and later the model Kathryn Boyd.
Meanwhile, Driver has found love with writer and director Addison O’Dea, who she has been seeing since 2019.

Speaking of her current romance, Driver added to the outlet: "But now I’m with someone who doesn’t want to get married but who is the most devoted, loving, extraordinary … everything I could have wanted in my childhood idea of a husband, he actually is."
Before her short-lived romance to Brolin, Driver was also romantically linked to Matt Damon.
Damon won an Oscar in 1998 shortly after their breakup, with Driver revealing in an interview earlier this year what she would say to her 25-year-old self now.
“I wish I could’ve told her, ‘Honey, it’s cool, like, you can celebrate, and life’s gonna be great and beautiful and hard and amazing, and you’re gonna love again. It’ll be fine,’” the 54-year-old said on the Jennifer Hudson Show.
