People are split down the middle after a TikToker revealed what their ex-boyfriend gifted them after they broke up.
When you break up with someone, you normally do so and expect to never speak to them again - unless you believe in being friends with your exes and all that.
However, one woman received a very surprising response after ending her seven-year relationship, when her ex turned around and gave her a 'gift'. Prepare for your jaw to drop:
Earlier this week, TikToker Rachel - who goes by @self_daily_love on the platform - took to her page to share a video after she 'dumped' her boyfriend of seven years.

The video shows Rachel holding a red and pink gift bag adorned in white hearts, with pink tissues paper sticking out of the top, a present lying wrapped up inside.
The caption reads: "I dumped him after seven years and he gave me this gift."
But what could her ex have possibly wanted to 'gift' her after she broke up with him?

Well, according to the ex-boyfriend's note inside the bag, he seemingly wishes Rachel all the best.
So much so, he actually bought her a book titled Fall in Love with Yourself: The ultimate guide of self-empowerment and self-love by Angel Gaudia.
His accompanying note reads: "I know you don't love me anymore... Love yourself now... Kev."
And it's not taken long for people to flood to the comments on the post in debate over the gesture.

Some users stuck up for the ex-boyfriend and his gesture.

"OMG are you sure you don’t love him?" another added.

A third commented: "It’s giving GET BACK WITH HIM NOW THAT'S A GOOD MAN."
However, others are more convinced the gift is definitely not a good sign.
A user argued: "It’s giving reverse psychology."
"This gotta be manipulation," a second chimed.

A third added: "I swear he’s making fun of you."
And a fourth said: "Right I saw this as not a nice thing lol big red flag to me and a desperate play to get a final jab at her. Run far away."
Others have simply resolved they're baffled by the whole situation.
A TikToker said: "Can’t tell if it’s manipulation or actual genuineness."
Another noted: "I feel like there's some context missing here."
In another post, Rachel said she made a 'mistake' which led to her 'losing seven years of [her] life with a man'.
Her error? Well, the TikToker resolves: "I loved him more than I loved myself."
And in the comments, she further clarified she eventually 'stopped loving him' and that's why she left.
Although, Rachel also ominously wrote: "If you knew why I dumped him you wouldn't feel bad for him."
Ah well, the course of true love never did run smooth, there are plenty more fish in the sea and all that. Oh, and if you were wondering about the book still, it's on Amazon.
