Simone Biles has provided a perfectly sharp response to people who criticized her hair as she won gold at the Olympics.
The Olympian has just led the USA team to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics Games, the fourth in US history.
Part of the gymnastics team that features the likes of Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Sunisa Lee and Jade Carey, Biles and co have well and truly made history.

The result makes Biles the single most decorated US Olympic gymnast, with five gold medals, one silver and two bronzes.
And as a result, the athlete has made many headlines in recent days due to her remarkable display in the gymnastics event in France.
On top of that, Biles' performances are being watched closely across the globe, there's no surprise many are picking out the small details within her performance.

An important part of a gymnasts preparation is how they keep their hair, as you don't want it getting in the way while in competition.
Well, Biles decided to perform with her hair in a ponytail - seems like the logical choice, right?
But with the internet the way it is, social media was littered with jibes.
One person said it seemed as though Biles had 'just rolled out of bed', while another dubbed her hairstyle as 'sloppy'.

The Olympic champion has since taken to Instagram to address criticism.
She wrote: "Don’t come for me about my hair.
"IT WAS DONE but bus has no AC and it’s like 9,000 degrees. Oh and a 45-minute ride.”

The next Instagram story featured an image of Biles fanning her face due to intense heat.
"Gonna hold your hand when I say this," she captioned.
"Next time you wanna comment on a Black girl’s hair. JUST DON’T.”
As a result of trolls, many have actually come out and defended Biles.

One person wrote on Facebook: "The only thing I noticed about this young lady is how AMAZING she is!!"
While another said: "Leave her alone. She’s well respected and respectful. She’s a great representative of the US."
Biles spoke about her hair in an interview with Elle earlier this month.
She showed her appreciation for social media bringing Black women together and teaching her more about hair and beauty.
She said: "We’ve [Black women] been able to take care of our hair better and take care of our beauty routines better, because it’s self-taught. It’s really special that we have access to those platforms.
“I used to worry about [my hair being considered] not professional. But I’m not embarrassed about it anymore.”
