"A kind gesture in an increasingly unkind world"

Stanley cups company has spoken out after delivering a new car to a TikToker who's cup survived a car fire.

Every person and their aunt seems to have one of these Stanley cups which are cropping up in Instagram stories at the moment.

And one woman's TikTok of her cup went viral, after it revealed the condition of the cup and its contents after it had been sat in a car which caught fire.

Prepare to feel a boost of Christmas spirit:

TikToker Danielle - who goes by @danimariellettering on the platform - shared a video last month of the aftermath of her car catching on fire.

Opening the door to her vehicle, she gives followers a view inside the car and it's bleak to say the least. The entire interior is scorched, the seats having been devoured by the flames, the steering wheel tattered and everything blackened by the blaze and smoke, however, one thing which stands strong among the devastation; Danielle's Stanley cup.

Not only this, but Danielle retrieves the cup and shakes it about to discover not only did it survive the fire, but it still has ice in it.

Talk about the best free advert Stanley cups could ever receive.

Indeed, in a show of goodwill, gratitude and just lovely festive spirit, the cup company ended up reaching out and offering Danielle - now known as 'Stanley cup car fire girl' - a new car to replace her scorched other one.

Stanley's global president Terence Reilly took to TikTok to respond to Danielle's original post, noting the company was 'really glad' she's safe and noting they'd 'love to replace' her vehicle.

And it appears Stanley has delivered on its offer, an update to social media by Reilly reading: "We delivered the car. Stanley's offer to replace a woman's vehicle a few weeks ago was intended merely as a kind gesture in an increasingly unkind world.

"Somehow, our simple act of kindness went remarkably viral around the globe. Who really knows why? I guess people everywhere are just tired of the meanness in this world.

"As promised, we delivered the brand new car that Danielle requested. We did so without a lot of marketing hoopla, opting for a simple, little moment as the car is now her story to tell.

"Thank you Danielle, enjoy the new ride. Happy Holidays from all of us at Stanley."

Perhaps there's still some good in the world after all.
