It's Twosday, innit: today's date is a once-in-a-lifetime palindrome to remember.
Cast your mind back to 2011; more specifically, November 11. This was a momentous time in history for two reasons: one, it was the release date of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, one of the biggest games ever; and it was a palindrome the likes of which we'll never see again. 11/11/11, or 11.11.11 if you're so inclined. Alas, we can't live in the hope of another palindrome of equatable coolness.
But wait! More than a decade later, we've arrived at another whopper of a date: 22/02/2022, a mighty palindrome we won't see again for another 200 years. Unless we pull off immortality, today will likely be the only day you'll experience it. Breathe it in, it doesn't get more exciting than this.
Maybe you're not au fait with what a palindrome, perhaps it's fallen off your radar (wink wink) over the years. Well, let me refer (wink wink) to the definition, which may wow (okay that's enough) you: it's a word, or date, which reads the same forwards and backwards.

It's safe to say social media has been abuzz with today's date, particularly given how significant it is. 'Today's date is probably the date itself: and the so-called 'Twosday' falls on a Tuesday, no less. It happened once before in the year 1011, but after today it will never happen again. It's a palindrome and an ambigram,' one user tweeted.
'Aren’t we lucky to be alive on this date which is both an ambigram and a palindrome! This means you can read this date upside down, from left to right and from right to left,' another wrote.
The excitement doesn't stop here: this week is extra special, with every single day reading the same back-to-front (if you're in the US, that is). 'Let's take a break from all this active weather and 'reflect' on a fun fact! It is a Palindrome week! This means everyday this week can be read the same forwards and backwards! Its a 'mirror-cle'!' NWS Anchorage tweeted.
Do you not believe me? Well, read it and weep: 2/21/22; 2/22/22; 2/23/22; 2/24/22; 2/25/22; 2/26/22; 2/27/22; 2/28/22; and 2/29/22.

'February 22, 2022 is a palindrome day in the m-dd-yy format (2-22-22) and it falls on a Tuesday, the second day of the week. This is the last 222 Day of the century. This sequence will not be seen until 2/2/2222. Happy 2's Day!' another user tweeted.
