A man was left fuming after his laptop was destroyed by a plane's reclining seat, only for a flight attendant to reportedly tell him the person in front 'needs to be able to recline'.
Plane etiquette is a tricky one, isn't it? Whether it be the seat on a plane, or someone trying to get that perfect photo from the window, it always divides opinion.
And now the 2020 saga of how a reclining seat spelled the end for a man's laptop has resurfaced.

Reclining on planes is a bit controversial, especially when you have a fellow passenger sitting directly behind you.
Pat Cassidy's experience on a Delta flight recently is certainly a good argument to potentially ban reclining seats on planes altogether.
The podcast host saw his laptop obliterated thanks to the actions of a fellow passenger reclining their seat in front.

Cassidy took to Twitter to vent his frustration at the costly incident.
He penned: "@Delta small note for the suggestion box, maybe have a little warning sign or someway to prevent my laptop from being destroyed when the person in front of me reclines their seat."
Cassidy expanded on the situation further, taking to Twitter once more to criticize the flight attendant on the aircraft.
"I really appreciate that your flight attendant came over to tell me that the passenger in front of me 'needs to be able to recline' and then asked him 'if he was okay?' as if your seat hadn't just ruined my livelihood," he added.

The Twitter post quickly went viral, with Cassidy later providing an update on the situation.
Or lack of really, as the podcast host was evidentially not happy with the service provided by Delta.
He said: "@Delta got scared when @BarstoolBigCat threatened [them]. Someone from corporate called me, but when I called back I couldn’t get through to anyone. Still no warning on the seat backs. Sad."

Cassidy confirmed in a follow-up post that Delta provided him with the equivalent of a $75 voucher.
Many have flocked to the comments section of the Twitter post and it's safe to say the story has divided opinion.
"This is my biggest travel pet peeve. I think it's rude to recline your seat," one user replied.
While a second added: "I think it’s common sense not to open and lean your screen against the seat exactly for this reason."
