A traveller was left in tears after a stranger refused to return her lost wallet unless she went on a date with him.
The traveller in question is TikTok star Tabs (@tabithaswatosh), who has 12.5 million followers on the video-sharing platform.
As such, she decided to share the bizarre exchange she had with the bloke who found her wallet in the hopes of getting him to come forward.

The influencer was seen crying in the clip, explaining that she'd misplaced her purse – which contained her credit card, ID and passport – while on holiday in Hawaii.
Obviously she needed it back pronto as she was set to travel home in a few days.
At first she thought she was saved, as the guy sent her a picture of the lost item on the road.

But he soon made it clear that he wasn't going to hand it over unless she went on a date with him as he thought she was 'cute'.
As if that weren't creepy enough, Tabs felt backed into a corner and agreed to meet him at a nearby McDonald's - but when she showed up at the agreed time, he was nowhere to be found.
The TikToker then texted him a number of times to find out what was going on, eventually saying: "Hey! Sorry to annoy you. But we've been here for 25 minutes & have not heard from you."
When the man didn't reply, she continued to message him but they stopped sending, with some suggesting that he may have blocked her number.

Others said he probably dipped after she said 'we are here', letting him know that she wasn't alone.
But can you blame her? Going alone would've been a massive risk.
And just when you thought things couldn't get weirder, a few days after uploading the clip, Tabs shared an update saying she'd received a call from her hotel lobby about a wallet being handed in.
And lo and behold, the lost item was there with all of the contents still inside, including her cards, passport, cash and even her Invisalign retainer.
There was also an extra thrown in there in the form of a note from the perpetrator, which read: "I hope you had a fun trip, kid. I enjoyed messing with you.

"It's always a good time messing with the tourists. You'll always have a local friend here in Hawaii."
Although the TikTok star was relieved to get her goods back – eight hours before her flight was due to leave, no less – she was baffled by the stranger's bizarre behaviour.
Something tells me she won't be giving him a call the next time she's in Hawaii.
