The grieving mom of a young man who died after playing a common drinking game with his friends has spoken out.
Daniel Muzamba was found dead in his university accommodation by his roommate after a booze-fuelled night on April 2, 2022.
The court is still investigating his cause of his death but an initial inquest heard how the British 19-year-old had been playing a drinking game with his fellow Winchester University students the night before he died, reports The Daily Echo.

Daniel, originally from Totton, Hampshire, had reportedly played 'shot pong', a game that involves throwing a ball into cups of alcohol.
He had ingested a mixture of beer, Disaronno amaretto, gin, peach schnapps and wine which tipped his blood alcohol to 4.6 times the driving limit, a level associated with fatalities.
Senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson read out a statement prepared by the victim's mother at Winchester Coroner's Court, who said: “They woke up the following morning but they did not bother checking on him until three in the afternoon. They were taking selfies with his phone.

“Were they not supposed to call an ambulance if there was nothing they were hiding? Why did they keep Danny’s phone away from him? Was it because they did not want Danny to call for help? Danny is always with his phone.”
"The life of a young man is lost," she said. "Our hearts will be forever broken."
Daniel's flatmate Ben Tharle also spoke out and described how he helped put the drunk teen to bed with the help of another friend and his girlfriend on the night of April 1.
He said Daniel was '10 out of 10 drunk' and had fallen five times, hitting his head 'really hard'.

The flatmate continued: "I remember all three of us decided that we needed to put him away. He fell over and then turned around and put himself against the bed. We were in the room talking to him. After a while, we helped him get into bed and he seemed to go very quietly to sleep."
Mr Tharle added: "In hindsight, we should never have done that – we should have called an ambulance."
When the friends went to check on him at 3pm the next day, Mr Tharle discovered Daniel's body.

"He had foam coming out of the side of his mouth," he said. "He was cold to the touch - so cold."
While police ruled out any 'third-party involvement' in the case, the Muzamba family want to see a thorough investigation carried out.
Daniel's mom has also cast doubt over Mr Tharle's account, and is calling for police to investigate further.
The coroner has reportedly adjourned the inquest at a later date to give the family time to consider.
