A man has been charged with five counts of capital murder after a mass shooting in Alabama.
Brandon Allan Kendrick allegedly shot dead his wife, their two children, and his young nephew and niece after a birthday party for one of the children.
The 32-year-old is now facing five charges after the mass shooting at his grandfather's property in rural Alabama on July 18.

Five people were killed during the incident, including Brandon's wife Kelse Kendrick, 24, the couple's children Kaleb, six, and Kynli, two, and their cousins Colton, eight, and Haley Daniels, six.
Kelse and her family had been celebrating Colton's ninth birthday, before she went home at 7pm after Brandon demanded she return.
All five were found to have been shot in the head, and Kelse, Kaleb, Kynli, and Colton were declared dead at the scene.
Haley was found to be still breathing when emergency services arrived at the scene, and was rushed to hospital were she was tragically declared dead.

Kelse's uncle, Eli Morrow, and his wife Brittany had been at the party, which they said was held at the house of Bill Morrow to celebrate Colton's birthday which was on Tuesday.
Kendrick had not attended the party, and had reportedly asked that Kelse come home.
A document filed with the arrest warrant shows that all five victims were shot with a handgun.

Sheriff Jody Wade described it as a 'horrific scene',which even 'seasoned officers' were left shocked by.
Wade said: "It's absolutely horrible. It's unimaginable what the family is going through, what the friends of the family are experiencing, what the community is feeling right now.
"It was just a horrific scene that even seasoned officers told me it is the worst thing they've ever seen."

Emergency services rushed to the scene after someone put in a call saying that a child had been shot.
Describing the horrific scene that unfolded, Wade said: "As officers are going, they are saying there are more children that have been shot."
The sheriff went on to say that Kendrick did not give any indication of a possible motive upon his arrest, and that he came without a struggle.
According to WIAT-TV, the shooting occurred in a rural county around 40 miles southwest of Birmingham, Alabama, near to West Blocton.

Kendrick is currently being held in the Bibb County Jail, and has not had any bond posted.
