An Ohio couple born with the same birthday have welcomed two new additions to their family on the same date, as their dad describes his new twins as his 'best birthday present ever'.
If sharing your birthday with a spouse wasn't enough, Scierra Blair and her fiancé, José Ervin, welcomed fraternal twins - a boy and a girl - on their big day on 18 August.
Making an early arrival with their due date set at the end of the month, the newborn twins made their appearance earth side at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital just after the clock struck midnight.

Doctors told the expecting parents last Thursday (17 August) that due to one of their babies being in a breech position, a cesarean section would be their safest option.
However, after being told in the afternoon that there were no immediate risks to the two babies or their mom, the parents-to-be asked doctors to hold out until their birthday to deliver them and make the date even more meaningful.
Ervin told People magazine: “Since she was in good health and wasn’t stressed, and the kids were in good health and weren’t stressed, I thought, 'Why not wait?'”

With twins running on both parents' sides, the twins were 'a blessing', but not entirely surprising.
Little José Ervin III arrived at 12:35 a.m. and sister Ar’ria Lannette Ervin at 12:36 a.m on the same day their mum and dad turned 32 and 31 respectively.
“They were my birthday present and I’m good with that,” Ervin said.
“I’m so stoked. I kiss them like 30,000 times a day.”

The excited dad continued: “We can just do one big celebration, do it all at one time, and that would be beautiful."
It's a day set to be filled with cake, cards and gifts from now on - and the Cleveland couple hadn't even met on their last birthday.
Ervin explains about the moment the happy parents realised they shared a birthday: “I thought she was telling a tale, because she asked me about my birthday and then said that’s pretty ironic, because that’s my birthday.

“I’m like, get outta here. But she showed me her ID and proved me wrong.”
Having made plans from the beginning of their romance to celebrate in style - they couldn't have expected to spend their birthdays doing this.
Blair joked to her fiancé: "It was bad enough that I have to spend my birthday with you."
But the new dad disagreed saying: "Our kids being born on our birthday, that’s unique.
