Declassified CIA documents describe the moment 'aliens' attacked and turned more than 20 soldiers into 'stone poles'.
A top secret 250-page KGB dossier came into the CIA's hands after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, one of which contains a report of a 'mishap involving a UFO'.
The bizarre document that has been recently posted to the CIA website reveals the so-called 'cosmic revenge' involving aliens that allegedly came down during a training exercise in Ukraine amid the Cold War.

According to the file, a 'low-flying spaceship in the shape of a saucer' appeared above the military unit which Soviet soldiers proceeded to shoot out of the sky.

The document claims the soldiers 'unexpectedly' launched a missile at the spacecraft which subsequently 'fell to Earth' not far from the soldiers.
Then, it continues, five 'short humanoids with large heads and black eyes emerged' from it and merged into a single force that was 'spherical in shape'.

Surviving soldiers from the incident claimed they saw how the 'aliens' attacked.
The report notes: "That object began to buzz and hiss sharply, and then became brilliant white.
"In a few seconds, the spheres grew much bigger and exploded by flaring up with an extremely bright light.
"At that very instant, 23 soldiers who had watched the phenomenon turned into... stone poles."

Only two of the soldiers who were standing in the shade managed to survive the 'luminous' blast.

The 'petrified' survivors reportedly took the stone remains of their comrades and debris of the UFO to a secret scientific site near Moscow for testing, the results of which allegedly ruled a 'source of energy that is still unknown to earthlings instantly changes the structure of the soldiers' living organisms' into a substance like limestone.
An unnamed CIA representative referred to the case as a 'horrific picture of revenge on the part of extraterrestrial creatures, a picture that makes one's blood freeze'.

"If the KGB file corresponds to reality, this is an extremely menacing case," they also said in the report. "The aliens possess such weapons and technology that go beyond all our assumptions. They can stand up for themselves if attacked."

The declassified document comes as a UFO expert has warned that such vessels are supposedly emerging from an underwater base near California.
Jeremy Corbell, who investigates UFO sightings, commented on a new video which appeared to show an extraterrestrial-looking aircraft with no wings or tail emerging from the Pacific Ocean to attack the USS Jackson.

Similar reports have been made in 2004 and 2019, reports the Daily Star.
Corbell said: "It's become a working theory among people close to this that there's an underwater base or installation off the California coast."
Meanwhile, former CIA agent Mike Baker is skeptical of the allegations made in the published report.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, he said: "If there was an incident, regardless of the nature of the incident, I suspect that the actual report doesn't look much like what has now come out from five or six or seven iterations of what originally was [written]."
"I'm sure there's something out there," Baker continued. "I just don't think that they landed decades ago, turned Soviet soldiers into limestone and we're just now hearing about it. I don't think that's the case."
