People are horrified after mom shares how much one day at Disney World cost her family

It turns out that a trip to the happiest place on Earth doesn't come cheap

People have been left horrified after reading how much one mom spent on a single day's trip to Disneyland.

Summer Reign Herring shared just how much her trip cost in a video on TikTok.

You might want to sit down before continuing with this one, fair warning.

Herring complained to her 1.7 million followers on TikTok about the cost of just one day for a family at the iconic resort.

The mom reviewed her receipts from the park, including everything from accommodation to food and lightsabers.

Things kicked off with the mom introducing the video, saying: “So here’s how much we spend at Disney."

In addition to her commentary, the text overlay on the screen keeps track of the costs, beginning with $130 on headbands and $870 on tickets and lightning lane.

So what about food?

She shared: "A mediocre breakfast at Hollywood and Vine cost us $223."

The mom continued: "Then he headed over to Toy Story Land and even with Lightning Lane was still only got to ride one ride."

No trip would be complete without ice cream and popcorn. These came in at a whopping $23 for ice cream and $16 for popcorn.

That had better be the most amazing popcorn ever created by human hands.

Then for a special treat she shared: "Then over at Galaxy's Edge, three lightsabers cost us a whopping $800."

She added: "They also no longer hold them for you until the end of the day plus, different airlines have different restrictions when flying home so we opted to ship them to us for an additional cost.”

Summer then explained that some rides had '120-minute wait signs', saying: "So we only got to ride one ride in this section of the park as well."

But, they're still not done.

"We tried out the infamous blue and green milk," she says, which came in at $27 before an $80 lunch and some funnel cakes for dessert for $44.

If you want pictures, a photo pass was an extra $170, which she claimed had 'cell-phone quality pictures'.

As a sweet treat, a lollipop and candy floss cost $25, which makes you wonder if the candy floss was made with gold leaf.

She continued: "And finally we had dinner at Planet Hollywood," which cost $311.

So what was the final bill? She said: "Factoring in our nightly hotel rate of $997 brings our total to $3,758 for today."

Told you you'd need to sit down.

People took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “Rename this to ‘How to do Disney with zero research and pay as much as possibl[e]’.”

Another posted: “Would have been better off getting a VIP host and going on all the rides.”

A third said: “You spent $250 PER lightsaber???? I can't feel bad if you’re willing to do that.”
