A woman was left with 'goosebumps' after noticing a strange figure in the background of one of her photos.
While there may be a lot of conspiracy theories knocking about, there's no doubt we're all intrigued by alleged 'other-worldly' beings.
You may want to take a lot of these claims with a pinch of salt, as while folks making the assertions may be adamant on what they saw, we often have little proof of their presence.

However, earlier this year, social media users were left startled after noticing something rather sinister blending into the background of Kay Borleis' 'live' photo.
The runner was taking part in the Hawaiian Ultra Running Team’s Trail 100-Mile Endurance Run around the area of Oahu back in 2019.
The event consists of a 20-mile loop through the Honolulu Mauka trails five times.

A regular runner since she was young, Borleis was used to keeping her head down while running as she really got into the swing of things.
It was for that reason that she unknowingly wandered into the territory of an alleged 'Nightmarcher', but her friend did catch the terrifying moment on camera.
Speaking of this part of the trial, Borleis recalled it being particularly brutal because of numerous obstacles she was forced to face, including thick tree roots and water-crossings.
It was while she was attempting to make her way through these patches of turf that, for the first time in her running journey - she injured her foot.

The pain was so bad that Borleis she was devastatingly forced to pull out of the race and return to her accommodation, where some of her nearest and dearest were greeting her.
After coming to terms she would had left the race, the runner asked her friend Cassie to send the content she captured from the race.
Her pal accompanied her throughout the race as a pacer, so really had a front row seat.

While scrolling through the photos, however, Borleis' blood ran cold and she was left with 'goosebumps' after noticing a strange, cloaked figure emerging in the background of one particular live pic.
"To this day, we still don’t know what it was," she later wrote in a blog post about the shadowed entity.
The footage shows the figure emerge from a tree and walk past her.
Borleis claimed she couldn't remember noticing anyone else on that part of the trail.

She added in her blog: "The reason why no one was on that part of trail is because all runners had to run in a clockwise direction.
"And tourists weren’t out that early. We didn’t see anyone for hours while running together. So, we were - and still are - positive there was no one there."
After doing some digging, she discovered a legend about a group of ghosts inhabiting Hawaii called Nightmarchers.
These spirits 'supposedly traveled at night to protect people so sacred that the common man was never allowed to look at them', according to Honolulu Magazine.
The publication added that: "Breaking that rule meant death."
Apparently, if a human crosses paths with one of these mystery beings, they should strip naked and lie face down to avoid looking at them.
Thankfully, Borleis didn't notice it until after she'd returned home, so didn't have to do such an act.
The original blog post has since been deleted.
