Chilling admission Virginia Giuffre made just weeks before her death

Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew's accuser had been locked in a bitter court battle with her estranged husband at the time of her death

Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

Virginia Giuffre, who accused Jeffrey Epstein of sex trafficking her to Prince Andrew when she was 17, made a chilling admission on social media before her death.

Giuffre's death has tragically been confirmed by her family, with police in Western Australia detailing how she was found unresponsive at her home last night (April 25) in the Neergabby area, which is located an hour's drive north of Perth.

"Police and St John Western Australia attended and provided emergency first aid. Sadly, the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene," a police spokesperson said.

"The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious."

Just weeks before the 41-year-old died, she took to social media to say that she had 'four days to live' after being involved in a car accident, adding that she was 'ready to go' but not before seeing her three children 'one last time'.

Giuffre had been locked in a bitter court battle with her estranged husband Robert, who in December 2023 she hailed on her Instagram as an 'amazing man' who 'rescued me from Epstein & Maxwell’s clutches'.

She was charged with breaching a family violence restraining order in Ocean Reef, near Perth. Her case was first heard in Joondalup Magistrates’ Court in northern Perth on March 14, where she did not enter a plea.

The matter was adjourned to June 11 for a plea hearing, according to Western Australia Courts, while her agent said at the time that Giuffre 'looks forward to defending herself against [Robert's] malicious claim'.

"My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them and they’re being poisoned with lies. I miss them so very much. I have been through hell & back in my 41 years but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else," she posted on Instagram, on March 22.

"Hurt me, abuse me but don’t take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens."

Then, on March 30, she posted a picture of herself in hospital claiming she'd been involved in a serious road traffic accident involving her car and a bus.

"This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km[h] [68mph] as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can," she wrote.

"I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology. I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes.

"S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day. Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life. Godbless you all xx Virginia."

At the time, police suggested the crash has been 'minor' with no reports of injuries, though Giuffre's family later claimed police said 'no one available to come to the scene'.

The family statement continued: "They asked if anyone was injured and suggested that if they were, they should make their way to the hospital.

"The school bus driver had a bus full of distraught children and left the scene to get them back, saying he would file a police report, which he did later.

"Virginia was banged up and bruised and returned home. Virginia's condition worsened and she was admitted to the hospital.

"Concerning her Instagram post, Virginia thought that she had posted on her private Facebook page. Virginia and her family thank everyone for their concern."

Giuffre is survived by her three children.
