A friend of the fiancé of a teacher arrested on suspicion of first degree child sexual assault of an 11-year-old student has spoken out.
Last week, elementary school teacher Madison Bergmann from River Crest Elementary School in Hudson, Wisconsin was arrested after text messages allegedly between her and an 11-year-old student were exposed.
Concerns first arose when the student's parents allegedly found him on the phone with Bergmann and later discovered text messages between him and the 24-year-old dating back months.

The student's father immediately contacted the school, which called police 'regarding inappropriate conduct between a current teacher and a 5th grade student' and Bergmann was arrested on May 1.
The student told authorities the pair had kissed and charging documents claimed Bergmann told the student how much she enjoyed 'making out' with him, authorities also finding alleged hand-written notes between the pair too.
The teacher - who was set to be married in less than three months - was taken into custody and charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault with a child under the age of 13 before being let out on a $25,000 signature bond. She's also been placed on administrative leave from the school and barred from contacting students, staff or parents or anyone under the age of 18.

And someone claiming to be a friend of Bergmann's fiancé has since come forward to respond to news of the allegations.
The pair's wedding was set to take place on July 27, however, the page for the celebratory day which was listed on wedding site The Knot has since been taken down.
The friend of her fiancé - who wished to remain anonymous - told the Post the wedding has 'been indefinitely postponed' but ultimately 'probably won't happen'.

However, they note the decision to cancel the wedding wasn't just his call but was allegedly a mutual decision from both him and Bergmann.
"It was more like, ‘Well obviously it’s not going to happen this summer.’ Pretty much all that there is to say," they claimed.
The friend said he is 'heartbroken' and 'really upset' by the allegations which his partner is facing and he 'didn't deserve this'.
The friend resolved: "He says it’s f**ked up [...] He’s really really hurt. Not talking too much about it, just like ‘this is f**ked up. [...] He’s still in shock."
