Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga has dominated headlines in recent days.
For anyone out of the loop, the fashion house came under fire after dropping its latest campaign, which featured imagery showing young children holding teddy bears decked in bondage gear.
What’s more, other Balenciaga adverts used documents about child sexual abuse law as props.

So, now you’re all caught up, it might not come as much of a shock to hear that one woman decided to cut up a Balenciaga hoodie worth hundreds.
A TikToker named Chloe shared a video with her followers in which she could be seen removing a blue Balenciaga hoodie from her wardrobe and chucking it on the floor alongside other items from the brand, including a T-shirt, trainers and sunglasses.

She then grabbed a pair of scissors and started cutting holes in the hoodie.
Chloe captioned her video: “I honestly feel sick to my stomach but can’t say that I’m surprised tbh!” and wrote: “Stop wearing Balenciaga immediately,” across the footage.
Chloe’s followers were quick to praise her actions, with one person writing beneath her post: “Boycott Balenciaga.”
Another person wrote: “Balenciaga must fall now!” while a third said: “I'm proud of you.”

In a statement, the brand admitted ‘a series of grievous errors for which Balenciaga takes responsibility’ and has even been called out by the likes of Kim Kardashian, who is an ambassador for the brand.
Taking to Twitter this week, Kim wrote: “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.”
The star continued: “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.

“I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”
Kim concluded: “As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children.”
Although stating she believes the content to be 'distrubing', Kim's didn't quite make it clear whether she will formally end her association with Balenciaga.
